Explanation of Cornucopia pictures

Each Pan picture in this collection is based on a simple combination of disks.  
Start with a number of disks in a row.
Next, progressively shrink the disks and the spacing.
Finally, rotate each disk further about the first one.
If we bring the disks together closely enough, they will show white instead of black at their overlap.

When brought together even more tightly, we see the general coring rule. The disks appear black where the number of overlapping rings is odd and white where even.
